Between this release candidate and the previous one we have spent a considerable amount of time and effort in implementing and testing various possible performance optimizations to reduce our Probes runtime overhead in the most extremes of benchmarks - SPECjvm2008. With more than 100 individual SPECjvm2008 benchmark runs executed this is clearly our most performance focused release of our open and extensible resource metering runtime. Via the introduction of some more novel and inspired approaches to instrumentation and measurement (metering) we have achieved another significant speed-up. The following chart compares our latest release candidate with the 2 nearest competing solutions. JXInsight 5.6 has significantly less overhead (more ops/min) and is much more scaleable (more threads = more ops/min) - 6 to 50 times faster than the competition....
