This is the first part of a continuing series of articles looking at the D programming language, its various “flavours” and projects related to the language. Today I will be introducing D in its “standard” flavour, looking at its history and roots, and some improvements over previous languages.

Why not? I am not a fan of "D" but if someone feels the need let them be creative.
