In 2002, the Walt Disney Internet Group open sourced their proprietary software stack, which powered a number of their web properties including Disney.com, ESPN.com and ABCNews.com. They've now re-released the project with almost 10 years of updates and enhancements. The TeaTrove stack contains two main components - Tea and TeaServlet. Tea is a safe, simple, efficient, and powerful template language. TeaServlet allows Tea to be used in virtually any Servlet engine. Unlike other template engines, Tea templates are compiled to Java bytecode for optimal performance. If you're fed up with JSPs and you were unsatisfied with the performance of Apache Velocity and FreeMarker, give Tea a try. Tea and TeaServlet are licensed under the Apache 2.0 license.
