The Impending Ruby Fracture
I predict that within 2 years (3 at the outside), Ruby will fracture into a series of incompatible execution systems, language dialects, libraries, etc. Here's my reasoning.

Very good post! It's funny, a year ago half of us hadn't even heard of JRuby, and those who had and had used it wished we hadn't. Now, they're making it out to be the premere Ruby interpreter! :-)
