I see this time and again... people do not pay attention to what the user needs. I have brought concerns over a design handed to me from the business that would make the user experience poorer, and have been met with the reply, "will what you suggest make it harder/take longer to implement?"

Too often the business is too concerned with how long/how hard something will take/be and not nearly concerned enough about what the user thinks. It's no wonder that the developers working on projects are failing to take into consideration the user...the business certainly doesn't.
