The most important man in tech died last week...It wasn't Steve Jobs.
if the name Dennis Ritchie doesn't ring a bell to you and you work in tech do yourself a favor and read on.

Finally someone write about Dennis, as I said in other comment without Dennis Ritchie and Thompson with their work on Unix and C there could be no Internet(Unix/Linux, C, Databases etc), Apple(Mac OS X, BSD/Unix, Objective-C), Windows(win32/16 API), C++, Java, C#, Python, Ruby, PHP etc etc etc etc and all as we know today.

Steve Jobs was a great man but Dennis Ritchie should be in the front pages!.

Totally Agree...great comment. It what happens when men are humble and do not look to profit from their greatest accomplishments. We all owe our careers to him.
