Textmate has emerged as the new baseline for what a text editor should be capable of. Previously only available on MacOS X. This is an early beta of a compatible editor for Windows (and maybe Linux later).

Not owning a mac, I have yet to understand the appeal of textmate. I'm looking forward to trying this out.
