The Programmers Shall Always Be With You
One often comes across an argument that programming is a dying field because soon hardware/operating systems/languages/... will be so advanced as to make programmers dispensable. This is a mistake--three or four different confusions in one, actually. Rightly understood, professional programming will continue for a long time to come.
