The last essay I wrote was on the front page of Digg and Reddit, and made it to number 1 on del.icio.us/popular. This finally gave me an opportunity to compare traffic from all three sources, and results are surprising.

Alexa is based on 20th century technology. They are not measring traffic, they are measuring the movment of user who have installed the toolbar. primarily IE users, and for the most part technically advanced users ar not gettign coutned by alexa because we use Firefox and even on IE we would not use something as lame as the Alexa toolbar.

This one was on slashdot about a day ago, same concept. Alexa is indeed inaccurate.
