Paul Browne's article on the advent of the Google Spreadsheet and it's impact on Java-land has come in for a lot of stick. I get the feeling some mud would have been thrown anyway, but that mostly folks were confused by the title which read "Do Google Spreadsheets mean the end of Java?". I don't think that was the core point Paul was making.

Well the ideas contained within are my own, but I read Paul's article favourably as (ignoring the polemic / attention grabbing headline) I agreed with the sub-text.
