Hmmm... Have you ever tried to convince marketing to listen to your suggestions as a developer and failed?

Out of curiosity, I wonder how many developers would like advice on how to present their ideas to marketing/business folks. Maybe I'm totally off to submit this kind of thing to the general dev community. I'd love to know because I've lived through a lot of frustration of my own and learned a few tricks here and there.
