A querySelectorAll problem with IE8 masked by jQuery, slow 3rd Party jQuery Plugins, DNS Lookups of 2.5seconds for 3rd party domains and hardly used Browser Caching are the top problems we can find on the top retail sites. I wrote a little summary on these problems including some technical explanation and how to avoid them. Overall it seems like most sites have a lot of potential to speed up their pages and with that improve user experience.
