I stopped reading there. What makes you think Java isn't evolving quickly? If you are talking about the language itself, I can only assume you have never actually used Java, or at least haven't tried Java 5. In fact that is one of the reasons a lot of Java developers are disgruntled, because the language changed too much! If you are talking about libraries available for use with Java, then again, open your eyes and just have a look at the open source world.
