The asshole basically regards himself as above rules and all-special. “If one is special on one’s birthday, the asshole’s birthday comes every day.” (p 16) Victims of assholes aren’t so much fighting for their rightful place in line or any other minor injustice. They are fighting to be recognized, to be respected as people.
