Developers have pretty strong opinions about what makes code more readable. The more senior the developer, the stronger the opinion. But, have you ever stopped to think about what really makes code readable?

I thought I was going to hate this, but I didn't. I think that most standards of code readability should assume better than mere competency from the reader. As stated in the article, an experienced developer will be better aware of the more subtle semantic differences that often contribute to program correctness and such behavior should be encouraged.
