Commons Lang 2.4 is out, and the obvious question is: "So what? What's changed?" .
This article aims to briefly cover the changes and save you from having to dig through each JIRA issue to see what went on in the year of development between Lang 2.3 and 2.4.

Note to downloaders, because this caught me yet again -- you do *not* need to download the source distribution if you aren't developing on the library. The binary distribution contains the source code in a JAR (so you can point Eclipse, etc. to that if you're just using it for reference = most people).
I wish they'd actually label the releases in some useful way... I had the same problem last time, and today I actually *remembered* that one of the distributions contains both source and the binary... but I guessed wrong and downloaded the source distribution first.
