The reason for this post is to add some transparency to the process of Comparing JVM Web Frameworks. Plus Matt is asking for Feedback!

Oh yeah, here is a list of the Frameworks he plans on comparing: Spring MVC Play Grails JSF Struts 2 Wicket Lift Tapestry 5 Seam JRuby on Rails Wicket GWT Vaadin

I'm looking forward to the comparison, but my one concern is that Matt will create the criteria in such a way that JSF will automatically score low. Hopefully Matt will be professional enough not to let his personal bias (http://raibledesigns.com/rd/entry/why_the_bias_against_jsf) get in the way.

well in some ways they are hard to compare. I am using Play Framework alot these days, and in some ways it is like WOW how easy things are, but other parts just seem to be missing.
