This post lets you know about a new initiative to bring together the women that work with PHP throughout the world. The goal is to encourage more women to show their skills in PHP conferences, user groups, magazines, etc. and not feel intimidated by the fact that the software development world is still dominated by the presence of men.

Mine moved onto Ruby.

Which makes me think, if we create a language called Diamond, will it really be a girls best friend?

Good point, dgary ! :)
Anyway, I'm not sure that PHP is a very different case (wrt other languages). Women don't like programming (well, most of them) and sometimes I wonder if they are not right. All efforts in software engineering tend to make ever fewer lines of codes, don't they ?
