You may be a student picking up the complexities of EJB3 for the first time. Or you may be an Enterprise Developer given the task of porting a business application to EJB3 from EJB 2.1. You have used JBoss before and thus you look for the JBossAS 5 GA release and find it not ready.

I've been asking this very same question. The Jboss forum is extremely quiet about this (heck, there is not even a specific "Jboss AS" sub-forum, so where would you post a question regarding this anyway?).
On the Jboss AS homepage there's only the beta1 announcement which has been there for about a year orso? They didn't even bother to update the page for beta2.

Everybody thought these Jboss guys would be one of the first to get a Java EE 5 application server on the market, but as it turns out even Geronimo beats them. If they wait just a little longer even IBM will have released a Java EE 5 version of Websphere.
I wonder though, what is keeping them up? Is it the bugs? Or did Jboss/Redhat attract too many projects so that they lost focus on their core project?
