I have been investing a set of new technolgies recently including: Flex, Groovy, and Guice and running those technologies through my criteria for whether or not they are useful and/or mature enough to be used in production applications. While doing the investigation there were a number of people who questioned why I was even planning to bring in new tech. These people have had a number of "not so scientific" reasons for not adopting these and other technologies
