I was at the QCon conference about a month ago and two of our friends had booths there: Terracotta and GigaSpaces. It occurred to me there that there is one significant philosophical difference between our products (that is between GridGain and Terracotta and GigaSpaces).

Agreed. The claim that their competitor's products (Terracotta and Gigaspaces) are dumbed down to the point where those products are only useful for simple use cases is not supported by any examples, logical arguments or empirical data.
