It looks like anywhere you go in the Java blogosphere, people are only talking about Java 6 (or lack of thereof) on Leopard. Some say that the only reason they bought Leopard was for Java 6, some say that their honeymoon with Apple is over, and some say that Java 6 will be available shortly as a separate download. And 99% of the postings and the comments seem to agree - Java 6 should have been included in the golden master of Leopard. I thought about it over the weekend, and time and time again i reach the same pragmatical conclusion - i don’t care about Java 6 on OS X, and for that matter i don’t care about OS X as a Java development platform. While that may sound as a harsh statement, allow me just a few minutes of your time.

Long winded argument from the author who admits to NOT owning a mac. Not exactly a vested opinion.

But who really uses Java 6 in a production environment. Most are glad that they are allowed to use Java 5.

I can say that at least one financial services company that processes a couple billion dollars a year uses it. I mean, it's been out for almost 2 years now. Either your a thought leader, or get off the bus.
