Occasionally I hear a respected developer make the case against books - "Books are dead, use other online resources instead." I acknowledge that technical books do have several limitations:
If your not reading books, i would fire you. Theres a lot of information in books, that googling around will not provide you. Sometimes its just about reading something and then discovering something new. Googling topics that you specifically are looking for doesn't give you this opportunity of discovery. Someone's blog, is not the equivalent to a book.
