What makes one developer better than another? Shouldn’t we all be performing at the same level? Of course not, we’re not sewing buttons on an assembly line. We’re using every bit of our intelligence to create something that we can only being to understand.

"I have a tech blog."
Clear sign for a bad software developer.

The tone of this post gives me the impression that the author is a "know it all". Hopefully the impression is wrong. Know-it-alls almost never solve problems that involve people, regardless of their capability to solve the problem, because no one wants to be around them. It's rare that software doesn't involve people other than the programmer and it sets know-it-alls up for failure while "less talented" developers succeed because they are not so off putting. Some of the best programmers I worked with were generous mentors because it helped them hone their skill. They were also smart enough to let the gold bricks hang themselves without bad mouthing them.
