The idea of an Interface as a contract is very tempting, an interface provides a kind of interaction basis between client and implementor. As long as both sides stick to the stipulated ‘terms’ of the Interface, they’re able to cooperate, no matter ‘where they come from’. but this metaphor is dangerous and even misleading. the metaphor of a contract is way to strong for interfaces.
