I'm not entirely sure how appropriate it is to post a link to your own blog. It's a worthy article, just seems little too much like self promotion.

I was that a lot of people had also done it and I had written an interesting article and it was on my blog. Why not people might like the entry and read more of the blog or if they are just interested in the article just read the article.

I think there is nothing wrong in self promotion. I do it too. We blog because we think that the information is something others might find useful or interesting. If more audience can see it by submitting it there then that is good.
