There is a lot of focus on the upcoming release of Java8 with lambda support. And the fact that Oracle will make functions first-class citizens in the Java ecosystem is very exciting. However, lambdas are not magic awesome-sauce that you spread across your Java application and everything will just be wonderful from that point forward...

Everyone knows that Typesafe, via recent funding, is desperately trying to attract Scala adopters. It's their charter. And that's great. But if more than 1% of the Java space adopts Scala, it would be a major miracle. And while most applaud your free market spirit, please, stop with the nonsensical articles. Just stick to the facts and the basics. Doing so, just might win you a few more converts.
