In the beginning of the Agile development movement, there were a lot of different options - but today, almost everybody who is "doing Agile" is following Scrum or something based on Scrum. Why did Scrum win out over XP, FDD, DSDM, Crystal, Adaptive Software Development, the Agile Unified Process, Lean and all of the other ideas that have come and gone over the years? Is Scrum that much better than every other Agile idea?
