Microsoft has built a lot of stuff but no one comes. The masses of consumers have flocked to other things that don't involve Microsoft. The only folks that remain interested in Microsoft technology stacks are their loyal developers. But alas those developers need an audience of likely users. Microsoft doesn't have any big web hits that would show case any of their technology stack. They have to keep trying to convince of the future potential. They've been doing that all through the era of Web 2.0. It's getting tiresome.
