It's so easy to get up and running with your first Windows Phone app!  Just pick up the FREE toolkit from Microsoft, register at AppHub, and start checking out some fundamental tutorials.
One of the features people frequently complain about with phone 7 is the tethering or lack thereof support. But alas there are a number of hacks out there for doing it. If you have an LG phone you could try this (at your own discretion, you of course should not try it...):

if you have a Samsung phone try this:

again, if you try this and something goes wrong, its your fault. Please don't try this at home...
