        For setting up a quick protected directory, put this in .htaccess


AuthName "Some Admin Area"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /home/someclient/public_html/admin/.htpasswd
require valid-user


And then create the .htpasswd file via
htpasswd -c .htpasswd someuser
